I have drafted several different titles which represent important storylines in my short film. I have not yet decided on a title yet and will carry on researching inspiration for a title:

I filmed my Preliminary Task, attempting to Replicate the film 'We need to talk about Kevin'. Overall, I think the filming went well, however, It was difficult to replicate the shots exactly and there were many errors I made whilst filming. In one of the shots you can hear a dog barking in the background. I did take some other shots but  they too had mistakes in them, which I didn't realise until I looked over the shots whilst editing the sequence. Also, the camera is very shaky. However, when Margaret (Eva) starts talking the sound bridge over to shot two is very good. Overall, most of the shots are good and match the shots in the film sequence I replicated. However, the eye match between Daniel (Kevin) and Margaret does not match as they don't look like they are looking into each others eyes. Also, in some of the shots in the scene with Eva and Kevin the background sound doesn't match up, this mistake I will not do in my actual short film. I also, struggled w...

Here is the two minute film sequence I want to replicate for my Preliminary Task, from the film 'We need to talk about Kevin':

For my Preliminary Task I have decided to replicate a sequence from the film 'We need to talk about Kevin' as it is a psychological thriller which is the genre I want to place the story of my own short film into. I have decided I want to replicated the 2 minute sequence of Eva trying to coax Kevin into playing with a ball. The sequence also includes Eva taking Kevin to the Doctors to test for signs of Autism.

For our Preliminary Task we have to copy a short clip shot for shot from a film. As my chosen genre is a Thriller, here are my film ideas for that genre: Girl on the Train (2016) - Mystery Thriller Drama We need to talk about Kevin (2011) - Psychological Thriller Psycho (1960) - Psychological Thriller Allied (2016) - Romantic Thriller
