I have looked at short films, music videos and trailers from the website The Media Mag Production Awards as inspiration for my coursework. I watched the Queen Elizabeth School in Darlington's short film ' Out of Depth' which I found really interesting, especially the plot of the story. I found that half way through they left audiences on a cliffhanger, with a single gun shot, which was later explained in more detail towards the end of the short film. Also, the effects were excellent, realistic and very believable. I also watched Maidstone Grammar School's Trailer 'The Unknowns' which was also very interesting to watch. However, I found it difficult to understand the summary of what was happening. Overall, the trailer had good effects and snap-shots of the film, like a professional trailer would. Andrea Arnold She was born on April 5th 1961 in Dartford, Kent. She is an actress and a writer and is well known for the films; No. 73, Fish Tank and American Honey. She has won one Oscar, 59 wins and 26 nominations altogether for awards. Won an Academy Award for her film, Wasp, in 2005. She was name a, Screen International Star of Tomorrow. Also, Andrea Arnold won the 2007 BAFTA Award for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer for producing the film, Red Road. The film, Fish Tank, premiered at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival, where she again won the Jury Prize. She was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2011 New Year Honours for services to the film industry.
